Before the birth of this nation there were many politically charged
happenings that were going on in the thirteen colonies. These ranged
from legislation, like the Stamp Act, that boiled many of the colonists
blood to more reactionary events perpetrated by the colonists like the
Boston Tea Party. It is important to remember that not all colonists
felt the same way about what was going on. While some of the more
revolutionary colonists were calling for war, there were colonists that
were still loyal to the crown of England fleeing for their lives.
